Edventure Maze
Edventure Maze was designed with the idea that success
in learning often comes through exploration and discovery.
Interactive challenges often become the most memorable.
Multi-sensory experiences engage the mind and foster
learning. Our goal in designing this online service
was to harness these principles in delivering interactive
learning mixed with fun.
MAuth3D
Our runtime engine is called "MAuth3D" which is a
pseudo-acronym for the words "Maze 3D Authoring."
A scaled-down version of a game authoring system,
MAuth3D is unique in that it delivers over the internet
in a web-browser. In developing this, our goal was to provide
rapid delivery without an installation or a special
browser plug-in (in most cases).
In the Classroom
Most teachers will admit that students can be their best resource in the
classroom. Kids love to get involved helping their teachers and their school. If you are
a teacher, get your kids (and student aids) involved in setting up lesson material including
activities such as questions and maze creation. As you know, the most effective learning occurs
when students and teachers collaborate. Another suggestion is to allow kids to
build their own set of questions from a set of classroom material to help
reinforce a set learning objective. Edventure Mazes are not only useful in the computer lab,
they also work well for classroom presentations (both teacher
and student lead) and they make a great addition to any classroom
homepage. Remember these mazes are designed to fit on a webpage
with other related material to supplement learning activities.
Other Applications and Uses
The application of our services is not limited to education alone.
Some create mazes for "self trivia" and either post them on their own
personal websites or send links to friends through our email service.
Other uses include product promotionals, family trivia,
and FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) webpages.
